A warm welcome back to all students of St. Regis Falls! This year is deemed, "The Year of Possibilities"! We look forward to the many possibilities that exist to support the academic growth of all students. Our team of teachers will be enriching our students education through a rigorous curriculum with supporting strategies and engaging challenges. We strive to do our best each and every day! As the school year progresses, please feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and child's experiences to help us better understand all possibilities that may exist. PARENT PORTAL TRAINING On Sept. 8, at 6:30, in the auditorium, we will be holding a session on the parent portal. The parent portal is a live "snapshot" of your child's grades, assignments and attendance for your viewing, to keep current on your child's academic progress here at school. We have been piloting the program for the past year and look forward to seeing many parent here for the brief training. As you enter the building on Sept. 8, we will give you your child's student ID number so you may access your child's account along with a brief overview of the program. Once again, we look forward to this new endeavor! RESPONSE TO INTERVENTION Our team of Elementary teachers will be meeting frequently this fall to put together a Response to Intervention plan, as mandated by State Ed., to support students at all levels through assessing, instructing and managing each students progress. Although we do all of the areas mentioned, we are once again committed to ensure that your child's progress is closely monitored and tracked for their success. We will continue to use scientifically researched programs and assessments. The subject areas we will focus on are English Language Arts and Mathematics. BULLYING We take bullying very seriously at St. Regis Fall Central School. Our aim is to provide a safe environment for all students and to give them opportunities to share experiences and strategies. We have been involved in a search for a program that will afford our students this opportunity. We are currently reviewing the "Rachel's Challenge" program and hope to have the program up and running this fall. We will keep you apprised.
Our sport programs are off and running! We look forward to very positive results this season. Please come out and support our athletes! Have a terrific fall and we look forward to seeing you at school whether it is for academics or sports! Sincerely, Marc Czadzeck
